+ Description
A Computer installation displaying in realtime projected light and comuter generated abstract images. Q-Bit questions the absolute position a spectator has to place oneself into in order to have a ‘correct’ pespective of an image.
When accessing the installation the spectator has two opposite angles from where he/she can view the installation. A beam of light projects from one side a distorted image of rapid changing abstract image. This result of an abstract lightscape can be seen as a reference to the 16th and 17th century illusions of the anamorfose imageries ( better known as Trompe L’oeil). Paintings, drawings and fresco’s, when viewed from a specific position in relation to the object, created an three dimensional illusion of space.
